i used "sudo su" to be a su, i tried to mount /dev/hda as rw but i still got this error ... what should i do now ?

This seems to be the most often asked question. You need to use the -o uid=1001 option to the mount command to give access to user dmansmall which is uid 1001. The easiest way is to use enhanced desktop and use the mount.app tool in the bottom right corner.
