I am one of those who was frustrated by the hassle involved with registering so I could post.

Finally, I was able to post.

A few days ago, I again was getting the welcome, followed by the you are not logged in!!.

Tonight, I tried again to log in and couldn't until I 'said' save my settings.

I don't know if this was just serendiptitious, or other people have noted a problem if they answer no.

I've only noticed this if you open new windows/tabs/connections, which I do a lot -- so I always set that option (saves a cookie).
