I tryied ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/mouse and also mouseconfig but the mouse is not working, while booting win98 works fine Posted by christosvas on April 20 2004,09:26
Logout X using Alt-Ctrl-Backspace, run "mc" and edit file /etx/X11/XF86Config and in the sectionSection "Pointer" Device "/dev/psaux" Protocol "ImPS/2" Emulate3Buttons ZAxisMapping 4 5 EndSection Change "psaux" with "ttyS0" and "ImPS/2" with "Microsoft" save exit mc and run startx. You should be ok now. Posted by jls legalize on April 20 2004,21:46

Try /dev/ttyS1/dev/ttyS2 or /dev/ttyS3 There have been some reports that "COM1" in windows does not always translate in to serial port 0 in DSL. Good Luck. Posted by hasty on April 21 2004,15:29
Would just add that on one machine I had to rm /dev/mouse before ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/mouseThe link by itself wasn't enough. HTH Posted by jls legalize on April 22 2004,08:35
I tryed also ttyS2 and ttyS3 but nothig, I read somewhere in this forum that maybe there is a bug in the kernel. Maybe I have to change something in the bios of my pc (serial port config) ?
