I've noticed the following behaviour with the mount tool - both on a laptop with usb-2.0 and a desktop with usb-1.1.

If I keep adding different usb sticks to the same port (and take care to unmount the sticks each time), then the sticks will appear as sdb1, sdc1, sdd1, etc.

In emelFM, if I look at /mnt, the usb stick will appear after 5-10 seconds, but in each case, after the usb stick has appeared in emelFM, I will need to cycle through all of the drives appearing on the mount tool at least once before the usb stick appears.

Not a big deal, especially since the mount tool is depreciated in the light of dsl-4, but it seems like it could be fixable.

A lot of applications, including most graphical file managers, do a regular refresh of their displays/contents. Most murgaLua scripts (probably all of DSL's scripts) are entirely reactive, meaning they do nothing until the user does something to the interface. Although adding a loop would probably not be difficult, that's just one more unnecessary process continually going in the background.
