Where is the compendium of myDSL apps/net tools/ etc?

Say I am looking to do foo.  Can I find out if there is a myDSL download for foo?

I have 'started' looking at the header information for each myDSL download, but that is sooooo sllllloooooowwwww.....

Hi:
I think you are looking for < this page > [distro.ibiblio.org].
This is the main repository. (The Extension Browser retrieves its lists from here.)

I agree it is laborious to find extensions.

I am looking into some options for the repository.

We have out grown the few categories  and the system needs an overhaul.

Plus a way to clean out extensions from your system.

It was quite a challenge to figure out what to remove to get k3b off my system.

By design. Reboot. They, MyDSL extensions, were never intended to be used in any other way.

If you choose to install MyDSL extensions onto a traditional hard drive install, then it would be like installing any other tar ball onto a Debian system.

Quoting from our website's download page:

Damn Small Linux myDSL Application Extensions
ALL DSL Extensions are made exclusively for Damn Small Linux.
This requires loading them from within DSL, as user dsl.
They are made for the liveCD and "frugal" type installs.
They do not provide package management, simply reboot.
While not made for hard drive installed systems.
most will work however it is not recommended.

This has been discussed in some other thread...

You can also:
- use a search engine (i.e. google with the "site:" parameter)
- use [insert site mirror]/list.txt
- mirror the mydsl html pages (i.e. and grep them)
