cannot log into Forum

Kinda strange that the only way I can log into the forum to post is using internet explorer under windows. Using firefox and windows, or using firefox or Konquerer under Knoppix 5.1.1, I cannot log in. It just keeps me on as guest. Any ideas? Is it a cookie thing?

I find if I use tabs, I need to set the board's "Remember my log in details?" to yes so that can save my login details in a cookie. And of course, you need cookies enabled to use that feature.
