fluxbox menu errorForum: User Feedback Topic: fluxbox menu error started by: chaostic Posted by chaostic on May 22 2008,03:42
There's an extra entry in the 3.4.11 .fluxbox/menu file. Ontop of being an invalid fluxbox menu entry, the file it would be trying to call if it worked is nolonger in dsl.
Needs to be fixed in /etc/skel/.fluxbox/menu. Not sure if 4.x has the same error. Posted by Juanito on May 22 2008,04:39
I believe 3.4.x is no longer being maintained - there being only one Roberts and work for ten people...

I figure 4.x is (mostly) using the same fluxbox menu as 3.4.x., same with the /bin/ls symlink issue I saw the other day. I just comment on it to put it out there. Since neither issue is critical, nothing (really) needs to be done about them. Maybe Rob just adds them to a list, and when there are enough (say 10 issues), when he has a free chance, he releases a minor bug-fix only revision of 3.4.11/3.4.12. I already figured 3.4 dead for feature updates, with all the 4.4rc and 5.0/tinycore talk. Posted by mikshaw on May 22 2008,12:19
That line has been in the menu file for years, and is still there as of 4.3I think it has been mentioned before, but it isn't an actual *error* (doesn't cause problems), and doesn't display in the menu itself. It's just a little bit of extra fat that has been overlooked. Posted by jpeters on May 22 2008,16:38
Yeah, no need to duplicate what's freely available on my cell phone |
