Hello, just updated to 4.4.4 and wanted to give a bit of general feedback :)

Generally since i had DSL when i start fluxbox and move the mouse for the first time the menu pops up. Its blanc when it pops up...am i the only one experiencing this? Might be because of my old PC ^^

Oh and also mounting in 4.4.4 doesnt always work...sometimes it says "could not identify format". But this is only with some sticks, so it might be because of the hardware not the software ;)

And also i tryed deleting MyDsl icon from the desktop...it ALWAYS comes back after reboot!
quite annoying :S

And just to ask...is there a way to get mount.lua back? any install source or anything?

Thanx

That has to do with the tinyx server included afaik.  It is not just for this version.  If it bothers you, you could try changing x servers.

Other users has had some problems in reading certain factory formatted sticks.  You could change the sticks themselves or try forcing it to mount (or try a newer kernel I guess).

Did you do a backup/restore?

You could copy it from an older version of DSL.

Ye i know that it was in any version ^^ thats why i wrote "generally since i had DSL"  ; )
But im not too fussed with that...doesn't really bother me.

I just put all my stuff on n other stick : ) only wanted to report that problem.

What annoys me is the MyDsl thing, because i did not backup/restore, and i don't even think it would be possible, as i have and HD install.

To get it from an older version i would have to install that older version first right? Or can i just copy it from Live CD?
And where do i have to place it and what do I have to change in .xinitrc?

Thanky you already anyway ;)

You can boot a livecd and then copy it to your HD (same place, something like /usr/local/bin)
Also copy the line starting it in livecd's .xinitrc to your HD one.

The MyDSL icon is a desktop shortcut to your mydsl extension folder and is created upon boot. It there to access extensions.

Mounting in 4.x is from ANY icon, right click and you have a menu.

Sounds like you are more familiar with 3.x. They 3.x and 4.x operate very differently. I posted a new cut of 3.x for those who prefer it.
