can you somehome enable a K menu or is it impossible? Also , i downloaded using apt-get vncserver, "the DSL has the client already installed" but where do i find it ? It is not listed under net vncviewer.  start vncserver does not work.

Any ideas?

locate vnc
(you have run updatedb ?)

gives /usr/bin

locate, find -name & whereis commands are your best friends.

Drat too hasty didn't answer the question.......

K menu is part of the KDE desktop which  is not included with DSL due it's size limitations

To play with your menu look at the menu file in the fluxbox directory.
Instructions on how to create your own menu are listed at the top.

If you edit the menu in scite you can save and test it without having to close the editor.
You will make mistakes at first, so backit  up,  but remember a good menu is the key to a good desktop.
