all in all easy install, script worked great, is super fast on my old pentium 2 laptop. installed xfree86 and mozilla, since i have more than enough room on my hdd. Did a tweak to get my prism card working, didn't take but a few lines in my /etc/pcmcia/config file. Got to get both mice working, but i can do that easy in my XF86Config file Only real problem seems to be the damn crystal labs sound card. i got it working under mandrake, just a bit of hammering and maybe i can get it to work under dsl.

Don't give up. I am using this card on a Thinkpad 600. Took a few lines of code. Search on 4232, I think.

I'm running one myself...
There are a few different ways of getting it started,
and backing your settings up for the next time..
Search the forums for cs4232
Set your search parameters for
ALL OPEN FORUMS - FROM THE BEGINNING and NEWER

got it, used the same tricks i used on mandrake, only problem i had was i forgot to comment out the line in /etc/pcmcia/config.optshaving problems with wmv and win32codecs playing in xine, but getting there, think i need mplayer instead of xine? will see if apt-get has one
all in all, much faster than drake, very happy
