I reported about the booting problem of DSL 8.1 / 1.1
and that it destroyed even the CMOS RAM.

On the other hand I can report that 8.1/1.1 works with
a boot flop (Who has this nowadays on a laptop!) and I
flawlessly made the hd install, and the dual boot with
WinXP/98. I only have to replace Knoppix as well to be
able to share the new 2.4 kernel. The old one had 2.0
and then the lilo boot cannot share kernels.
Get things going! I love DSL

Hopefully, your boot issues will be resolved with the release of 0.8.2, as we try our hardest to make the transition to isolinux as smooth as possible.
