After doing a hdd install of 0.6.1 I decided to run 'sudo dpkg-restore' and got an error as to a couple of files not existing.  I don't remember which files they were, but I do know how to get around this problem, when I first attempted to run dpkg-restore I was in my home directory.  I then changed directory to /usr/sbin and then ran 'sudo dpkg-restore' again and it installed just fine.  I had noticed this in 0.6 as well, but I thought I would bring it up again incase other people were having a similar issue.

Hey Thank You,

That worked for me also, although I'm not sure why, because the script runs from the home directory also, but apt-get doesn't seem to work after that, on mine no matter what I tried to install it had unmet dependency problems. I wish I was smart enough to figure this out so I could give back something to this exellent distrobution, but untill then I'm just glad it's working now.

I got a weird problem on 0.6.1, forcing me to go back to 0.6.0. When I installed it to my hard drive, and restored the dpkg files, apt-get refused to work. Then I restored the databases manually, and apt-get worked... but dpkg refused to install any app I downloaded. On 0.6.0, I did the same thing, and dpkg refuses to install only a few apps, but I was able to install most of what  I need.

What happened? Is something wrong with me?

It's a problem with the busybox version of tar. Check < this thread > toward the bottom of the page, right before cbagger gives me a hard time.
