i've installed dsl to my hd, everything works fine except every time i reboot or restart all my d/loaded apps are gone and i have to start d/loading again.
i have included boot:dsl restore=hda6 in the filetool.lst but to no avail.
can somebody please tell me the proper way to do this? i'm getting tired of the d/loads every time i restart. thanks in advance.
on a different subject i've tried to install the latest firefox app. but it needs libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 to do it. i've googled it and can't find it. does anybody know where to find it or the pkg. that has it? according to google lots of problems with this lib being found. thanks again.

Sorry for posting off topic.  I can't get this board to take my registration so I had to piggyback on another topic.  When I register it tells me it accepted it but won't let me login.  "No such user".  Any suggestions?

had the same problem using dillo, so i switched to firefox and had no problems registering and logging in. suggest u try the same and see how it works. dillo is a great browser, very fast, but it has limitations because of its size. anyway that's the only esplanation i could come up with. good luck.

Glinks does work for logging into the forums.

Glinks is a little harder to use because you need to learn the keyboard commands for each function. Go here and scroll down to the section titled "Navigation Keys" for more information:

It wasn't Dillo.  I was using IE through my M$ machine and had the same problem.  E-mailed John and he fixed whatever it was.  Now I'm in.

Had a bit of database corruption this morning, it should be better now.
Dillo (as it is configured on the CD) should be able to log in here.
