Here are some photos that lu8dhy sent me from his extended stay in Antarctica.
He is using DSL on his laptop at Marambio Base..
He can often be found in the IRC channel..

He says in IRC that it has been between 1C and 5C in the last few days.

Warm for them... ( That's 34F and 41F to us non-metric folk... )

It's been colder in the Northwest US ...

34 to 41 F? Damn, it's been that (the high number) here lately. In fact, weather.com says tonights low will be 41, tomorrow 42, up and down to a nasty 33 on Monday.

I guess I should point out I'm in San Bernardino, located in Sunny (but chilly this year) southern California.

Here is Northern sweden. I am a norwegian that study computers here. Bad choice of place to study :P

Bet you could overclock the hell out of a computer there!!!

Just stick your tower in a snowbank and keep upping the FSB till you were running 10Ghz!!!!!!!!

Now thats "SUPERCOOLING"

This school has it own "Freezing" line, where they teach people how to make freezers and air condition. A overclockers dream

isn't reaaaaly cute to notice that people do use dsl alla over the world (antarctica...i'm impressed!) ?
and it's usefull in alla language and al latitudes.
