ive tried all of the 4 commands but they all say invalid command (in ms dos by the way)  .. did anyone else boot dsl from dos? if so how did you pass this point? Please HELP!

You shouldn't need to boot DSL via MSDOS.

If you burnt the ISO correctly (File -> Burn Image in Nero or equivalent command in your CD burning software), you should be ready to go.

Make sure that your computer BIOS (system setup, usually press F1 or F2 key at boot time) is set to try and boot from CDROM before booting from hard disk).

If these settings are correct, stick in the CD disk and reboot the computer.

You should see a picture of a Penguin and a boot command menu "Press F2 for help".

It is a text screen, so it kinda looks like an MSDOS screen.

Usually, you can boot up by just pressing the "ENTER" key.

As far as I know, /MLX is some kind of RAID disk controller.  Do you have a typical home PC or do you have some kind of special server computer?

Hope this helps.
