If I perform an hd-install, will I be able to install the OpenOffice.org office suite?

Yes.
It's about a 75mb download -can't remember unpacked so you will need a little space. Runs fine with 64mb, but may be slower with less.
Handles doc files and looks better than Ted :)

Ah, so it works under DSLs Xserver, I'll be installing it then when I've fixed my miniPC :;):
