i`m downloading the new version right now. wow only 46.9MB. there one thing i love a/b dsl, really i love it all but if i had to pick only one thing out of it, it would be the nes emulator. i`m a big fan of the nes and glad its in there (or i hope its still in the new version) i open the iso and add some more games to it. burn it, and put it in my pocket and know i can play nes anywhere, and my friend got fired for his copy of dsl. i gave him a copy of my version (w/more nes games) and he was playing it at work (gamestop) and his boss came in the store and he could not turned it off fast enough. then again that was like that 6th time he did that. i laugh my ass off. just want to share that but whatever thanksryan Posted by ke4nt1 on July 14 2004,06:30
Yes, the tuxNES is still there...Also, try out the XMame.dsl extension - a nice arcade emulator which includes a few favorites.. just click on it in the myDSL icon on your desktop.. Another one to try is the VBA gameboy emulator.. It works great It's also in the myDSL panel, just click to install.. You'll need to add your own roms, of course.. And both Doom, and Quake2 are in there.. You'll need to get the pak0.pak files from a copy of Q2 to run Quake2, but the shareware games files are included in the doom.dsl. Also, Xgalaga, Xpuyopuyo, Xgammon, Ace of Penguins... and in the testing area, you'll find Xbubble, Xmahjongg, Xpat2, XBill, Tuxtype, Circus Linux, Pente, and Xpenguins...whew.. A few more choices than the LAST time you might have stopped by. You can find more details here.... < http://www.ibiblio.org/pub....ex.html > Enjoy... 73 ke4nt |
