Sorry to bother you as I am new to DSL. I brower the DSL directory and some threads in this forum but I just can not figure out how to get the source code of DSL. Don't tell me to get the 3.4 knoppix source. I am interested to see this derivate of knoppix.

As far as I know DSL is Knoppix, but with a lot of the bulk stripped out and scripts added for DSL-specific tasks.  As far as programming goes, the kernel is the same and the applications are the same...there isn't a DSL program for which to obtain sources.  The programs included are the same as those found at the original authors' websites.

there is no source code for a linux distro, there is sourcecode for the kernel and for applications, look on the internet and you will find. they are not included in dsl to save space.

welcome to the forums :)
