Hi!

No person in sweden has any use for the keybordconfig tool OR the boot/cheatcode option. Not if it is done according to how it SHOULD be done that is, because the language code "se" for Swedish do not exist on the cd, it infact never has. But there is a keyboard file named se-latin1. I mentioned that almost a year ago at the forum and it has been linked alot of times for confused swedes that cant get their keyboards to work. Here:

The keyboardconfig tool that do not work when choosing swedish is linked to the keymap "se" that doesnt exist. Could it be fixed so it links to "se-latin1" instead, or maybe (less good) rename the "se-latin1" to "se"?
Its quite boring to write "dsl keyboard=se-latin1" everytime i want to boot, or to make a remaster of every new dsl version instead of a fast click in the graphical keyboardtool.

Take care and thank you for making the coolest distro, in this side of the galaxy!

There are actually 5 Swedish keymaps in DSL.

And lang=se does link to one of them, but I'm far too lazy at 2am to look up which one it is.

You can see all the keymaps (there are a LOT) in /usr/share/keymaps/

If nothing else, make a minor remaster, including everything on the CD but the /KNOPPIX/knoppix file (the actual filesystem). Then edit the isolinux boot file so that it always includes keyboard=se-latin1 in the bootparams, then save it.

Every time a new version comes out, all you have to do is...

mount -o loop dsl-x.x.x.iso /mnt/iso

Then copy in the knew /KNOPPIX/knoppix file to your modified setup, do mkisofs and toast the sucker to a cd.

That's what Frugalers and USB booters do with new releases.
