1. wtf is desktop warping?

2. older machines don't do dma. if you want dma, type "dsl dma" at the boot prompt.

You can disable desktop warping in /home/dsl/.fluxbox/init.
Personally I like that feature.

There's nothing I hate....anything done by default can be undone with backup/restore.

Things I don't love, like starting X automatically, but that was one of the first things I changed.

fluxter rears it's ugly head no matter how many times i "force kill" it or curse it under my breath.

/home/dsl/.xinitrc automatically runs the /usr/bin/enhance script when X is started, which in turn runs fluxter. You can edit either .xinitrc or enhance to change this.
