I don't know if anyone has observed this, but since this wasn't mentioned in any post that came out after searching with keyword "SIAG" then I will.

Has anyone actually tried to plot anything in SIAG? There is a plot wizard that is supposed to do this with the data that is blocked. In 0.9.3 you see a button on the toolbar for this, while it is in the menu for RC1. When I tried it, all it did was send two files to /tmp, prefixed with siag.

Now, I am not complaining about this since I've been using the gnuplot extension. The reason I called it an interesting bug is as follows.

I was practicing the art of remastering on 0.9.3 by adding all the dsl extensions that I like into the base KNOPPIX compressed loopback file to make a new one (I'm just one year into Linux and this is one of the things I do to learn). After making one, I accidentally discovered that now I can plot in SIAG! I created some dummy data, blocked them, then clicked on the toolbar button. SIAG opens GVU and displays the plot there! And now, there are three files produced in /tmp: the third one being a postscrip file containing the plot that GVU displays.

If anyone observed this, please confirm. I am looking through the changes that my remastering exercise did, but newbies like me will be doing this r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w as I go back and forth between tons of documentation.

I have also observed this. I think it might have to do with the fact that siag uses gnuplot for plotting, and the gnuplot.dsl has probably been put in a different location than is normal, so siag may not find it? Just my guess. But I have also observed it, although not gone very deep into the matter.
