hello,

i pulled an old ibm aptiva out of the garbage. it works fine, it's an old 486sx. looks like the kernel in 1.0rc1 does not include a math coprocessor so it's not booting. where can i find a kernel for a 486sx (math coprocessor included in kernel)? thanks

you'll need to remaster DSL for a kernel wtih NCP support.
then install/boot.

Someone here made a kernel recompile with math coprocessor emulation a while ago.  Try searching the forums for keyword

coprocessor

and search ALL FORUMS FROM THE BEGINNING or NEWER

Also, an older version of DSL like version 0.5.3.1 should work fine with a 486SX
