just a question to whoever is incharge of maintaining this distro.

When yuo update the kernel, are you compiling it, or just copying it off the knoppix distro?

just a random question, but i am interested in making my own remaster.

Thanks,

Bob

The kernel in current use is the one from the knoppix disk,
version 3.4 build date 5-11

The idea is that anything you want to use in DSL,
that is not already in DSL, can be borrowed, compiled,
or taken from the knoppix build.
If it works, compiles, etc...
in the booted knoppix disc , then it should run in DSL
with the proper support files added in with it.

John Andrews and Robert Shingledecker maintain and develop
this distro..   I am but a lowly grunt who volunteers my time.
