Hi!

It's really nice that there are keybord layouts for my language(latvian) - most distros don't have them, so I have to install them manually. But the problem is that latvian specific characters (ē ū ī ā š ģ ķ ļ ž č ņ) are not represented correctly in most apps. Interesting, because Firefox shows them right (encoding: baltic iso 8859-13 or windows-1257).

Most likely I just have to install some extra fonts, but how? And why DSL doesn't use unicode fonts?

speaking about Russian (win) layout:  I do not see the Switch to activate on/off my typing in russian/english    ......how to do that ?
Only english letters are generated  by my keyboard now :-(
