Very great os!

I run Damn Small Linux on a very old 300mhz computer. Damn Small Linux runs great on it. I'm very impressed how you guys made it. Hopfully you guys will contune to make DSL better. Don't know how you could make it better, but there is probaly ways.
I don't think i'll ever go back to microsoft. Linux is alot better.

Thanks,
Travis

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I use DSL on an old system too, that was one of the things that first attracted me to it.

Agree. Having a good OS doesn't require having the latest equipment in the case.  BTW, I burned v1.3 on a CD few days ago and I really like it!

We had a fantastic write-up in the Linux Format Magazine - July 2005

"Mini-Distro" roundup ..
DSL v. 0.9.3 against the rest..
Top Honors !!   numero uno !!

Hats off to "Team DSL"  !!
( Looking forward to see what they have to say about DSL v.1.3 ! )

I really like the new 1.3.1 DSL. I've also been playing around with ELE and wish DSL had the anonymizing TOR and Privoxy that ELE had, OR that ELE had the the packages that DSL has. If you two would get together a little on this you would have the perfect traveller CD for foreign correspondents (journalists often need to remain anonymous online in certain countries).

You mean, something like this:

That is better than ELE already. What's included for office features? I would want at least a decent word processor with CUPS support.

I think it is a DSL remaster with some privacy features.

So I would guess that it includes flwriter and apsfilter.

But you would probably be able to install mydsl extensions, too.

You will need to contact the author in order to get the facts straight.
