not all uses grub, but still some do. and installing dsl+frugal+grub needs net connection for downloading grub.dsl

my question is... why not include grub.dsl in the next cd release, its only 136k+??? Wouldnt that make frugal-grub-install easier for guys with no floppies and net connection. All comments are welcomed

I think it would make it easier.  However, grub frugal is a very new addition to DSL...I'm guessing it would need more testing and feedback before the decision is made whether or not to add it to the base ISO.  This thread is a good start to that.

From how I understand things, we try to have as little repetition of features in the base iso as possible, so only one bootloader will be on the base iso.

And Lilo is a LOT smaller than Grub, so it will almost certainly stay, since it does get the job done.

Even though it's not nearly as sexy as grub. :P

50mb limit, ya know.

My vote (if it fits) is for GRUB!
I just set up a dual-boot on my laptop, DSL and GeexBox. It takes a little work and planning (as far as setting up the partitions). Now I'm hooked! I'm working on a multi-boot for one of my desktops with DSL, GeexBox, and AGNULA DeMuDi (a music production distro).
