I would like to know if DSL can provide an email client with a GUI interface

Sylpheed is a GUI email client. The icon is on the desktop.

If you like an all-in-one application try the Opera801.uci it has all of the following.
1. browser
2. mail client
3. chat client
4 rss news reader
5. download manager
6. notepad like editor
There may be more but that's all I use
