Downloading Live CD and Live USB ISO FilesForum: User Feedback Topic: Downloading Live CD and Live USB ISO Files started by: linuxnewbie1000 Posted by linuxnewbie1000 on Oct. 12 2005,09:55
I have just come accross damn small linux and am keen to try it out. I have followed the download instructions as per the FAQ section of the website, however when i click on a download mirror i am simply taken to a directory structure containing numerous files. I am confused as to which file i need to download, as the FAQ section states that the files are categorised as A, B or C. I see no mention of this in the directory structure. Any help that people are able to provide will be grately appreciated. Posted by adssse on Oct. 12 2005,12:40
The most current version is in the 'current' folder. Download the dsl-1.5.iso file if you are looking to run livecd or planning to do an install. If for some reason you have trouble booting, you can than try dsl-1.5-syslinux.iso.< ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/damnsmall/current/ > Posted by AwPhuch on Oct. 12 2005,14:50
By the way...the current.iso is also a hotlink to the 1.5.iso..so in effect its the exact same thing..just linked to itBrian AwPhuch |
