linuxrc has a bug for "ehci-hcd.o"Forum: User Feedback Topic: linuxrc has a bug for "ehci-hcd.o" started by: BV1AL Posted by BV1AL on Nov. 24 2005,07:34
in dsl-2.0, the "linuxrc" in minirt24.gz has a mis-spelling for "ehci-hcd.o" as "ehci-hdc.o" so no module loaded for USB 2.0 when USB HD insert, the "hotplug" process come up but then hang, so you find no /mnt/sdaX when I'm insert USB HD, and found this bug. after the bug fixed(with new linuxrc on minitr24.gz) USB HD work very good with DSL. That explains it.I thought that my problem was caused by ehci-hcd being loaded first before the USB 1.1 modules, but I never looked closely at the spelling of the module. I deleted the old spelling and typed the module name in at ther end of the list and it started working fine. Posted by roberts on Nov. 25 2005,16:42
Thanks for reporting, It is one of those things that I have I looked at many times and did not see. cbagger had just sent me an update as well. cbagger has also made other improvements to minirt24.gz as well. Thanks to both.
