Hi.
Unfortunately I've got an other problem with compiling programs on DSL:
I want to compile a program for X11 (irxevent, a part of lirc), but the configure-script doesn't find the X-system. I told this problem to the people in the lirc-mailing-list and they asked, if I had installed a "x development package" before. But they couldn't tell me, how this package is named. Is there a package in myDSL, that can help me?
By the way: DSL is a very nice distribution. I've never seen such a smart distri before. :-)

AFAIK, DSL has no X development package. Mine (originally) were off of the Debian APT system, but it required some package juggling to make everything run properly. Myself, I now believe the best way to get the development libs would be to compile X.org, and install the development libraries and include files off of that.

X developement mydsl package was recently moved out of the testing area to the system area. You will find it there.
