artwiz fonts in Fluxbox styles

I've set up the artwiz fonts from MyDSL, including the xset command in my .xinitrc file. I can see them when I run xfontsel, and I've managed to change my torsmo configuration to use one of the fonts.

Great... except it seems as if none of the Fluxbox styles I'm using, are displaying artwiz fonts, even though at least one I know of (LiquidGlass) specifies them. It's not particularly annoying, but I'd rather like to fix the problem if I can.

Only idea which came to mind: The xset command is the first one executed in .xinitrc. Should it come later in the file?

This isn't a 'show-stopper' problem, but I quite like the artwiz font style and would be pleased if I could get them fully working on my DSL setup. Can anyone please help?

Many thanks,
Tim.

It shouldn't matter where the command is.  You could even run it from aterm after X is loaded, although it might need to be followed by "xset fp rehash" in that case.

If xfontsel is displaying them, then they are available.  I'd look into the fluxbox styles to see if there may be a problem there (such as "are the artwiz font lines commented out?").  Also, there may be an issue with the fonts.alias file...can you get them working by using the full font name (-artwiz-cure-*-*blah-blah-blah-iso8859-1)?

That's all i can think of to say at this point, since i have had no trouble with them in Fluxbox in DSL.

Thanks for the tip - I'll experiment further :)

Managed to get the fonts working - the font lines in the style file contained options which weren't available in xfontsel, so I tweaked them a bit and that did the trick.

Thanks again!
