how to disable x starting automatically?
i have a 486sx with 8 mb of ram without cd-rom drive.
if i extract the harddisk and move it to a my new machine,i install damn,disable x,remove the harddisk and put in the 486,i am able to running damn in this 486 in text mode.
in this pc i am able to use links to surf the web in text mode.
what's the other applications simple as links? at example i do not succeed to use mutt for email...is very difficulty.

Open /home/dsl/.bash_profile in a text editor.
Comment or remove the part that runs "startx".
