disabling auto start of X in startup scriptsForum: X and Fluxbox Topic: disabling auto start of X in startup scripts started by: a_hardwick Posted by a_hardwick on May 28 2004,02:17
I have looked through the init.d scripts and the the rcx.d scripts and I have read through the debian policy manual and looked over my Unix Sytem Administration Handbook (3rd edition) and have even tried a few things. But still when I reboot (all in preparation for turning my local school disrict on to an OSS Content Management system-Plone-) X starts and Fluxbox flutters on. I have gotten it to not start, but request that I hit Return...and then XandFlux starts. I am sure I can keep trying things that look logical and one or more will eventually work, but if somebody knows, can ya just tell me?Thanks. Posted by a_hardwick on June 04 2004,21:03
All,Thanks for looking at my problem and I did figure it out. Set the run level to 3. I changed 1 character in one script. TH Posted by AwPhuch on June 08 2004,17:59
