ctrl:nocaps equivalent?

in a standard modern X server, i can put:
Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:nocaps"
into my conf file to suppress the operation of the CapsLock key.

can the equivalent be done with the X server used in DSL?

I'm not sure, but the first place I'd look is the xmodmap manual

oh, of course. thanks. i've been so spoiled by turning capslock off once and for all with either console keyboard maps or ctrl:nocaps that i forgot completely about xmodmap. that'll work.
