I use DSL 3.01 the mount tool dont show the entry (button) for cdrom, but i can mount the cdrom via commandline (mount /cdrom or mount /dev/cdrom)...

whats wrong ?

BTW: this happens when a cd is in the drive since bootup and also when the cd is inserted after fluxbox is loaded... there is no difference

is there any way to have the cdrom in the mount tool available ? i dont know why i have no entry for it, since i can mount it via commandline...

I think /cdrom is for the partition containing the dsl base image, so it isn't listed.

For the actual cdrom, it should read from /dev/scdX
Is your cdrom listed in /mnt ?
You could always manually edit the mount.app :P  Or even try the old mount.app tool.

in /etc/fstab there points /dev/cdrom to /cdrom (it is a debian hd install), but i can mount it also under /mnt/cdrom manualy.

what are the difference between the old mount app and the new one ? where i can found the old one ?
