HI!i was just wondering if it is possible to make a screenshot with dsl? the usual import -w root filename.png doesn't work... lepingouin Posted by Grim on May 20 2004,16:10
From Xpaint: File>Take SnapshotThe cursor will change, then drag the cursor around whatever you want to take a shot of (in this case, draw a big box around the screen) and voila. In order for the import command to work, you'd have to install the imagemagick program (apt-get install imagemagick) Posted by nibznik on May 20 2004,23:26
you could also apt-get install ksnapshot and use that

...and the rest or KDE while you're at it to satisfy the library dependancies. Posted by PhrozenFear on May 25 2004,03:40
KDE = okay, just not for DSL. When I use RedHat Fedora, I use KDE.I tried the desktop snapshot thing from the right-click menu, but it never works. =\ |
