Hi everybody, im new to this forum and so to Dsl.
I became fascinated by this distribution, that i just dont want to give up to my problem.
The thing is, Xvesa gives me poor refresh rates that i cant just get used to.
I became root, installed xserver-XFree86 (the latest version, in Synaptic) so i could change this situation...
The install was fine, so i configured it by using the debconf tool that automatically starts. It didnt work, it just gave me something somekind of driver error.
So i went with the XF86Config-4 file, looking for some of them in google.I found a couple that might be usefull but it didnt worked.I even tried the Xorg.conf from another Distribution (in which it works without problems) but never got it to work.
Im sorry for such a story, but the question is... Does anyone knows about a working Config file for the Matrox Millenium I Pci 2064w (4mb ram) ?
If not, how can i install X.org(in which it seem to be working just fine).
Thanks in advance.

Xvesa uses the VESA standard 60Hz vrefresh.

I have suggested to use the XF86 extension in < http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....t=15806 >

If you can't find a working driver and config for you card, you can just use the standard vesa ones - I think it's described in the extension's .info

You could also post your config/log files and errors.  I wouldn't recommend for you to use an xorg config - they're not the same.
