just used dsl for the first few times, managed to mount my windows partitions and play some mp3's - all very exciting!

one problem tho - the colours are off, big style, what should be yellow is purple and that's all i tied down!  tried booting in different colour depth made no diff - was about to try 800x600 res (boo hiss) but dsl wouldn't boot an froze at autoconfig...

fix my colours for me!

There is a '-swaprgb' option for the Xvesa server (http://www.xfree86.org/current/Xvesa.1.html) with the following description: "pass RGB values in the order that works on broken BIOSes. Use this if the colours are wrong in PseudoColor and 16 colour modes." I haven't tried it, and I guess that you have to kill the X server and then start it up again more or less manually.

dsl colors got all mixed when i use 1024x768 res and 16 or 32bit color....but i put the res to 800x600, it worked like a charm...though i still would rather have a bigger res. i think its my graphics card... o well, getting a new one soon
