I know how to download backgrounds and styles from mydsl, but is there anyway I can use my own jpg. to put up as my background/style???Can anyone help me?

there are two tools that i know of in DSL--could be more--bsetbg and xsri. Both of them actually use xsri, but bsetbg allows a simpler command, and works with additional apps.You can set a background image at any time with the command bsetbg -f /path/to/image If you want to automatically load a particular image with a particular style, copy that style into /home/dsl/.fluxbox/styles and edit the "rootcommand" line in the style file. If you want to automatically load a specific image to use no matter what the style, add that rootcommand line to /home/dsl/.fluxbox/init bsetbg might actually be bsetroot...can't remember which is in DSL |
