On my Frugal install, I have the line
sudo /bin/bash -c emelfm &>/dev/null &
in .xinitrc, which is in .filetool.lst, and is
backed up to Frugals root directory.
So when I start up, I get Emelfm as superuser
on screen 1 of Fluxbox.

I would like to also have a "Emelfm as DSL" instance
on screen 2 at startup, but have no idea how to access
a specific fluxbox screen on cmd line.....
so I welcome any advice.

Hmmm....
Think I might let this one go...
I have been playing with the "apps" file in
~/.fluxbox and the init file was edited to include it,
but it didn't seem to work.
It is probably easiest just to use wmdrawer for quickly
pulling up apps without drilling through the menu.

If you're using fluxbox 0.1.14 (the default window manager in DSL), the apps file does not work and there is no way to specify a workspace for an application.

I've found that hotkeys are a very quick and easy way to access programs without menu drilling.

Why did I not think of that?
Good call Mikshaw, thanks!
