I dont have personal experience with it, but you may find Xfree86 helpfull. It can be found as an extension here.< http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub....m > Posted by zerozeronine on Sep. 12 2005,10:38
Hi, I need to change my refresh rate too but I cannot find .xserverrc . Do I have to add this file manually and where do I have to add it. Another one: should I use Xvesa or Xfbdev server ?Thanks Posted by adssse on Sep. 12 2005,13:04
.xserverrc can be found in /home/dsl. Note that since it starts with a period it is a hidden file so in emelfm you will need to click the 'H' button to see it or if you are using the shell you will need to use 'ls -a'.As far as Xvesa or Xfbdev, I would try xvesa first and than if you experience difficulties than try xfbdev. I have tryed both Xvesa and Xfbdev by adding -screen 1024x768x32x100@0 in .xserverrc and nothing changed. All ideas are welcome.P.S. I`ve read somewhere that XVesa on KDrive/TinyX does not support change to the refresh rate. Posted by SaidinUnleashed on Sep. 13 2005,17:13
Correct. Xvesa only supports video modes defined in your video card's bios, and Xfbdef uses the linux framebuffer device. If you need t, get the Xfree86.dsl -J.P. Posted by zerozeronine on Sep. 14 2005,12:42
Thanks for the help. I guess this is the only way
