docked wm apps dont show

None of the docked apps will show......ive tried clicking them on the menu under Desktop>Dock Apps and nothing happens. They flash up for a couple seconds as i restart or exit the windows manager so i figured its an issue with X or Fluxbox.

any help would be appreciated

You can try running some from the shell (such as mount.app, etc.) to see if it gives you any error messages.

If they show when you shutdown, then they are probably running fine. Maybe there is a problem with the slit itself. Is it possible that you may have set the slit to hide, or maybe changed its layer to something really low? You can find that out by looking at .fluxbox/init. The relevant settings would start with session.screen0.slit or session.slit
