Hi,
I have created default DSL boot cd, on the disk i got the regular linux loader files and /KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX image file (just like in "original Knoppix").

I want to extract the content of this image to 2nd drive in order to edit it (MyDSL wont do the trick since i want to remove content not add it and save it on a CD) then to recompress it to KNOPPIX image file and burn to CD... I know it can be done with new "original" Knoppix images since its in regular ISO format so you can repack it after editing using "mkisofs" tool.

Ideas how can it be done?

You can search the forum for 'meo's remastering howto' for simple remastering or go to knoppix.net to learn about more advanced options.
