I am running windows 98 SE and my BIOS refuse to boot the dsl cd.

So i got the bootfloppy and loaded it,But it then gave the error message:

'Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem, sorry.Dropping you down to a (very limited) shell'

i tried the prompt 'Dsl dma' but that also failed.

It doesn't seem to read my cd drive.

Can anyone help me get the floppy to find my cd drive?

I'm a newbie at this too, and earlier this morning I had the exact same problem as you had.

For me, the problem was that I didn't burn the cd correctly. It burned the iso file, not the cd image. You may want to try a different burning software and try that again.

Once I did that, mine worked like a charm.

Yeah,

I'd try the CD in another PC first.  You may want to check the md5 sum on the download.
