I just downloaded DSL 2.1rc2 and it will not boot up on my Toshiba Satellite Notebook. The bootup process gets to the part where it detects the CPU clock speed and then just hangs there. The DSL 2.1rc1 image boots up on this machine just fine. Not sure what was changed from rc1 to rc2 to make it unbootable on my laptop. Just wanted to make my problem known. Doubt there is anyway around it.

Check for a bad download.

There is a program called md5sum that can be used to check your downloaded ISO file against the md5.txt file from the DSL website download page.

That was pretty much the symptoms I had before using the syslinux versions. I don't know if a syslinux version of 2.1 is ready yet. Probably not until after testing.
