Hello.  How can I properly mount my NTFS-formatted HD in DSL?  I currently run DSL off of a live-cd with "toram" specified.  I need to access a driver on my HD to configure my network card.  In the root shell, I can browse to /mnt/hda1 but i cannot view or access subdirectories.  While we're on this topic, is NTFS fully sipported in DSL?  I know it was still being developed when I started nmessing with Linux...

Any help you could provide would be most appreciated. :)

Read-Only support is fine.

NTFS write support is not allowed with the current drivers.

To (read-only) access files on your drive, you need to mount the data partition first by typing:

mount /mnt/hda1

and then you will see the files.

You can also use the Mount.app that is located in the bottom right corner of the fluxbox desktop.  Or you can open the emelfm file manager and navigate to the /mnt directory and then Right-Click on the "hda1" and choose "Mount" from the context menu.

For full read/write support for NTFS, there is a project out there called "Captive NTFS".  It is possible to add this ability to DSL, but it is not a simply task for most users.  To read more, search google for "Captive NTFS".
