Hi everyone!  I am returning to Linux and would very much like to use Damn Small Linux on the internet.  I am trying to compline the driver for my wireless connection and it tells me the make command in not found...can someone please help?

I am sure I read somewhere that make is included in the gcc1.dsl package.

Hope that helps (and that I'm recalling that correctly)
Cheers and beers

You may not need to compile drivers for your wireless connection. What wireless card are you using?

Sarah:  Thank  you...can you tell me where I would get that file and then what to do with it once I download it and mount my hard drive to access it?

Doobit, I have a Hawking Mini USB Wireless-G USB 2.0 Network Adapter (HWU54G)

Thank you for your help!

I see they have a tarball here:

Thank you...I have the tarball, but now, following the instructions that came with it, I still have to "make" the driver.  I have learned how to install the myDSL extensions so that I have access to the make command, but it is not compling...I am trying to do this with a toram install...in the Makefile, I have to specify where the kernel source is located...can anyone help with this part?

Thank you for all y'alls help so far.

Anyone around here from Dallas?
