So I spent some time getting an old version 0.5.2 running on my old laptop and now I put the current version on but I liked the old mount/cpu monitor thing in the lower right (Name?) how can I get the old one installed ? Plus I liked the old fluxbox styles better how do I go about getting those can I copy them from the old distro . I know this is alot to ask but I am new .

I don't know about DSL2.1 yet, but as of 2.1RC3b the old dockapps are still in the distro, and available from the menu. If you want to have them started automatically, add them to /home/dsl/.xinitrc:

mount.app &
asmem -withdrawn -bg black -fg white &
wmix &
wmnet -w &

The old styles will work perfectly fine in the newer DSL. They are located in /usr/share/fluxbox/styles & /usr/share/fluxbox/backgrounds. Copy them to /home/dsl/.fluxbox/styles & /home/dsl/.fluxbox/backgrounds.
You will need to edit the "rootcommand" lines to point to the right image files.
