Hello, I'm new to Linux. I was interesting in a Go OS, so I downloaded a live cd of Hikarunix, which I am currently running on my system because my Window OS isn't working at the moment. I am new to Linux, and I'm trying to install an instant messaging program (such as AIM, Gaim, etc.). Hikarunix is based off of DSL, and DSL says they come with Naim, with is another instanting message program. Can someone help me?

I've downloaded Hikarunix a couple of times but have never been successful in getting it to boot.

The best help I can offer is (and this is actually what I have done myself) -

1. Download and burn DSL to a cd.
2. Boot it up.
3. Load the games/cgoban.dsl and net/ayttm.dsl extensions

Now you have Go and IM.  If you want them to always be there, then you can run the mkmydsl script, and if you want to save your sgf files, you can add the directory they are saved to to ~/.filetool.lst

the amsn.uci in the myDSL repository works great for msn. You will need tcltk-8.4.uci as well. Put them both in the top of the same partition that dsl is on so they load at bootup.
