Keyboard doesn't work after bootForum: Other Help Topics Topic: Keyboard doesn't work after boot started by: Gregoyle Posted by Gregoyle on Feb. 12 2006,04:40
Hey all-I'm having a rather basic problem. When DSL 2.2 boots, my USB keyboard stops functioning and will not start the entire time the OS is running. The keyboard works in the BIOS and the boot menu, but the instant the first peguin of the Knoppix bootstrap process appears the numlock light goes out and the keyboard is unresponsive. Interestingly, the USB mouse connected to the same controller works fine. The keyboard works under Knoppix 4.0.2, so something tells me there's just one little thing in this version of the bootstrap stopping me. I haven't tried it with another linux running the 2.4 kernel though. I've tried using the acpi=off and waitusb boot options, with no effect. DSL looks very slick, and I'm looking forward to using it. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. -Greg Posted by Gregoyle on Feb. 13 2006,20:14
Fixed: I tried the boot option "nousb2" and it works fine now.
